Drop7 is widely considered one of the great puzzle games of all time 1 . The goal of this research is to find an autonomous strategy for playing the game as well as a human can.

An experienced human player can score millions of points in this game with the right long-term strategic thinking. The strongest research reference so far ( fair depth-4 expectimax ) averages about 309k points, so the research problem is very much still open.
