There's nothing to sign up for. Your device gets an anonymous ID and that's the whole story. We couldn't identify you if we tried.

Start with 10 free credits. One credit per photo (two for HD). If a photo can't be processed, the credit comes straight back. Credits never expire.

Yes — that's the point. reCast edits the photos in your library directly, so your history looks rewritten everywhere. The originals are always preserved underneath: undo any photo in the app, or open it in Photos and tap "Revert to Original."
