A habit is something you want to do regularly: reading, walking, practising an instrument, or drinking less. A habit tracker is a record of that, one habit per row and one day per column, so marking a day is one tap and progress becomes visible over time.

Not every habit is daily. Track something every day, three times a week, on selected days, or as a monthly total, and set limits as well as goals.

Named after the German jeden Tag , "every day": habits are built day by day, whatever their schedule.

Habits are built by repetition, not by one decision. Writing each day down makes that repetition visible: a row of marks is easier to keep going than to start over.

Over a few weeks the record also answers what memory cannot — how often you really do the thing, and which weeks it slips.

One tap records a day and a whole week fits on a phone screen, so keeping the record costs a few seconds.

Your streak follows the schedule you chose rather than a daily one it assumes, a limit you stay under counts as kept, and a day you deliberately skip does not count against it.
