About this tool
A link with no og:image gets a bare text row on X and a grey placeholder in Slack, and the usual fix — opening a design tool to make one image — is enough friction that most pages never get one. This draws it on a canvas in your browser and hands you the PNG.
- 1200 by 630 is the only ratio worth using. It is accepted everywhere and survives every platform’s cropping without losing the middle of your text.
- Text wraps by measured width rather than character count, so a long word cannot silently run off the edge of the canvas.
- Keep the headline short. These are read at thumbnail size in a timeline, where four lines of small text is indistinguishable from a grey rectangle.
- No watermark and no account. Drawn entirely in your browser, and the PNG never touches a server.

- What size should an Open Graph image be?
- 1200 by 630 pixels, under 5MB, PNG or JPEG. That works on X, LinkedIn, Facebook and Slack without cropping anything important.
- Do I need a different image for Twitter?
- No. X reads og:image when the Twitter tags are absent, so one image covers every platform.
- Why is my new image not showing?
- The platform cached the old card. Slack and LinkedIn are the most stubborn — adding a query parameter to the URL forces a fresh fetch.
